about me

Hi! My name is Anjane (ann-juh-nee) and I was born and raised in Miami, Fl. I grew up surrounded by the music of my grandfather singing and playing the Ramayana. It's taken me about 21 years to finally figure out how to have curly hair in Miami and I am here to tell you: it is possible people!

 

I've been a performer throughout SoFlo for the past 16 years of all things musical theater, classical music, and pop covers. I graduated with a BM in music education and an MM in vocal performance. I have been a voice teacher at the University of Miami Department of Theater Arts for almost ten years, but a dog mom almost my entire life.

I believe the super powers of theater to be:

- the ability to practice staying present and in the moment (the yogi in me really appreciates this!)

- to serve as a constant mirror for me of where I'm doing well and where I can grow

- selflessness, by fully committing to the story time and time again.

 

When I am not doing an escape room with my husband, you can find me on facebook marketplace decorating my home, teaching a yoga class, or at Soul Cycle (bike no. 3)!
